How many times have you been in a restaurant or any public place and seen someone with their head buried in a smartphone? It happens all of the time and is a growing trend. Families can be sat around a table eating and the father or one of the children is checking their smartphone.
Walk down the street and be careful to avoid the pedestrian who is reading something on their device and heading straight for you. It goes on and on- wherever you go, there will be someone using a smartphone and at times, groups of people not talking to each other and just staring that doe-eyed stare at their mobile screens.
Smartphones now do so much that it is all too easy to quickly check emails, the web, read an eBook, view some photos and the list goes on and on. A smartphone will do anything you want it to and it really is incredibly addictive. It is a growing trend, but sometimes it makes sense to just leave the phone at home and do something else like talk to people.
We are all addicted to our phones in one way or another, but non-phone time is still important.
